Why Migrate?

Firstly, the reason to migrate is that Agilix will be retiring Brainhoney as of July 12th 2018. This means that they will no longer be supporting Brainhoney and any current users will need to migrate.

Secondly, Buzz has a cleaner interface that provides more versatility when using and editing courses provided by eDynamic Learning.

Thirdly, Agilix is ensuring that migration is as easy and seamless as possible, promising that no data will be lost (grades, messages, teacher content, etc) in the transition. In fact, although you may not realize it, they have already done the migration! That’s right, it’s all set to go, all you need do is log in.

How to Log In

Whereas with Brainhoney, the url you would access was schoolname.brainhoney.com to access your Buzz platform, all you need do is go to schooname.agilixbuzz.com:

For example: If previously a school logged into https://sampleschool.brainhoney.com they would now log in through https://sampleschool.agilixbuzz.com

Then you’ll enter the same login credentials as you used for brainhoney:

And that’s it! You’re now in your Buzz platform which should have all the same information and content as your brainhoney, although the layout will be different.

What’s New?

• New Navigation: Buzz gives teachers immediate access to any tool or course from anywhere. Use the Main Menu to jump between tools and the Course Chooser to jump between courses.

• Clipboard: This tool helps teachers to act on data in the Performance or People tools. Use it to assign additional activities and resources, award badges, and send messages to individuals or groups who need additional help or more engagement.

• Communication: Teachers can post announcements to specific courses or to all courses at once; these announcements appear in the student To-do List. Teachers can also compose and send messages classes, groups, and individuals.

• Calendar: The Calendar tracks and displays all assignments and their due dates, and color-coordinates them by course. Users can choose to view a specific day, week, month, or the entire duration of the course.

• People: This tool provides teachers with at-a-glance access to a variety of student data points in one simple, customizable table. It combines grades, mastery progress, pace through the course, data from student self-assessment responses, and much more.

• Editor: This tool replaces the BrainHoney Syllabus editor. From this tool teachers can manage course items (assessments, assignments, discussion boards, etc.), search the library for new content, add thumbnails to images, align objectives, and more.

• Performance/Gradebook: This tool replaces the Gradebook in BrainHoney. It has been redesigned from the ground up to include many new features and performance improvements.
